On September 4, 2016, at Silverstone in the UK, 21-year-old Vinales from the Suzuki Team won the 2016 MotoGP 12 -- British Grand Prix, which is his first victory in career ,and Suzuki won MotoGP title after nine years .

At the beginning ,the race got more intense.No more than 20 seconds , two runners collided heavily, the game was forced to be halted. During the second run, Suzuki driver Vinales came out , threw off his rivals and kept his first place to the end of the match . After winning the title, Vinales said: "I am really excited , it is my first time to win the championship and also Suzuki's first time since 2007. I am in good condition in spirit today , and there is a huge possibility to win the title, but you never know the results until the end of the game. The team has done a lot of work since the end of the last race to improve the performance of the motor. I felt very confident after the first start and I thought I was able to stay ahead.
